Hello. My name is Encarnita and I am 45 years old.
It was exactly 5 years ago in May 2006, that suddenly, for no apparent reason, I began to feel unwell. At the time, I was working in a nursery where my colleague Monica and I were looking after 25 children.
As time went on, my symptoms began to worsen with repeated bouts of feeling physically run down and new symptoms started to emerge along with a permanent sensation of faintness and mental fatigue, accompanied by an overall low mood. I felt as if my brain was congested which left me feeling confused, faint and incapable of continuing to work at the nursery.
I went to the doctor. They conducted analytical tests and a complete brain scan using a MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine, which showed up ten lesions, situated in the white matter of both cerebral hemispheres, which could represent areas of gliosis of an unknown origin. However, after testing for hypercoagulability, lumbar puncture and then carrying out more tests, degenerative diseases were ruled out as the lesions were found to be non-specific. The doctors then diagnosed me as having "severe depression with anxiety and somatisation disorders."
I was treated with tranquilizers, antidepressants and medication against bouts of faintness (Adaptan, Tanakan) which had no effect but on the contrary, made my symptoms worse. 2 years ago, I decided to explore alternative therapies, such as ozone therapy and homeopathy, but found no improvement.
Finally, and with all hope exhausted, I tried a method based on the natural plasticity of the brain called NeurOptimal®. It is a method which utilises the brain's capacity for self-regulation. After 4 sessions, (1 every 15 days), I started to see an improvement in my symptoms. Anick then advised me to have 4 consecutive sessions (two per week) as if it were a "shock treatment," something that I had not done before through lack of time.
True enough, my symptoms began to improve spectacularly: The mental fatigue and congestion, which I had lived with for five long years, disappeared, and even my mood changed. I went back to being the cheerful and lively person I used to be before my illness. I now look forward to returning to work, and my life as a wife and a mother has improved remarkably.
Before I finish, I just wanted to add that I hope my testimonial will help many people in resolving their health problems and above all, in improving their quality of life and in trusting in the NeurOptimal® method. Many Thanks.
